Sara M. Franks will be a freshman at Northwood University in the fall. She is the recipient of the Freedom Scholarship for the 2007-08 academic year. The scholarship is $7,500 per year with renewal options yearly if criteria are met. The Freedom Scholarship is awarded to a student who has exhibited academic excellence during their high school years. Franks will graduate from Ovid-Elsie High School this spring and will work toward a business degree from Northwood University. She is the daughter of Mark and Holly Franks of Ovid.
