The Union Bridge Church of the Brethren is now accepting applications for the Joanne Grossnickle Memorial Scholarship. The scholarships will be awarded in July to students who attended Linganore, Walkersville or Francis Scott Key high schools, or who have some relation to the Union Bridge Church of the Brethren.
The scholarship is in memory Joanne Grossnickle who worked in the legislative office at the Church of the Brethren before passing away at a young age.
Applicants must have completed on year of training beyond high school to be eligible for the scholarship.
The deadline for all materials is June 15. Instructions for applying may be obtained by writing to The Joanne Grossnickle Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 518, Union Bridge, MD 21719. Applications may also be obtained by calling the church at 410-775-2717 or e-mailing unbrb@verizon.net.
