Chelsea Peterson of Roseville has been awarded the Shannon St. George Scholarship from Monmouth-Roseville High School.
The Shannon St. George Scholarship was established in March 1999. St. George was a senior at Monmouth High School at the time of her death and her father wanted to provide a scholarship in her memory.
The criteria for the scholarship is: (a) must be a graduating senior during the year of the award; (b) must be college bound or post high school education; (c) must have a positive attitude and school spirit; and (d) must write a 150 word essay on what personal courage means to them.
Peterson is the daughter of Paul and Kathy Peterson of Roseville. She will receive a $500 scholarship to the college of her choiceLabels: high school, scholarship, student loans |
