Education technology provider Blackboard has unveiled a product for schools in the early stages of developing an online learning strategy. D.C.-based Blackboard says its new e-learning product for kindergarten through 12th-grade classes combines curriculum delivery, professional development, home-to-school connections and community-building capabilities in a central online hub.
"We have seen a lot of schools trying different programs and disparate technologies to meet a variety of challenges," says Blackboard President and CEO Michael Chasen in a statement. "Many have expressed an interest in one platform to streamline the process." Blackboard (NASDAQ: BBBB) says the product enables schools and districts to easily put classroom materials online, provides for 24/7 access in a secure environment and offers self-assessments for individualized learning paths. source:washington.bizjournals.com |
