Several students have been awarded academic scholarships to attend Arkansas State University-Beebe, with campuses at Beebe, Heber Springs, Searcy and the Little Rock Air Force Base.
Jason Denison of Rose Bud has received an Incentive Scholarship. He is the son of Joel and Becky Denison and is a May 2007 graduate of Rose Bud High School. In high school, Denison received awards in English and Chemistry and was a member of FFA and Upward Bound. He plans to attend the Beebe campus and major in studies in the mathematics field.
Jairus Gatewood of Judsonia has received an Incentive Scholarship. He is the son of Donny and Debbie Gatewood and is a May 2007 graduate of White County Central High School. In high school, he was a member of FCCLA, FBLA, FFA, Interact and the band. Gatewood plans to attend the Beebe campus and major in studies toward a career as a drama teacher.
Johnathan Rodgers of Pangburn has received a Technical Academic Scholarship. He is the son of Jimmy and Angela Rodgers and is a May 2007 honor graduate of Pangburn High School. In high school, he was a member of the FFA.
