The $500 Sheboygan County Farm Bureau Board of Directors Scholarship has been awarded to Kathleen Reineking, a senior at Howards Grove High School. She plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and major in dairy science. She is the daughter of Steve and Patti Reineking.
The $500 Sheboygan County Farm Bureau Women's Committee Scholarship has been awarded to Andrea Weber, a senior at Howards Grove High School. She plans to major in pre-physical therapy (biology) at Marian College. She is the daughter of Thomas and La Verne Weber.
UAW-CAP Council awards scholarships
Each of the following students has been awarded a $500 scholarship from the Sheboygan Area UAW-CAP Council:
Andrew Bunge, Howards Grove High School; Adam Kapellan, Sheboygan North High School; Danielle M. Mork, Sheboygan North High School; Alexander D. Martin, Sheboygan South High School; Holly A. Soldner, St. Mary's Springs High School; Emily R. Waack, Kiel High School; and Laura M. Kesner, the University of Wisconsin-Sheboygan.
Kapellen received $10,000 Mercedes scholarship
Jacob Kapellen, a Sheboygan North High School senior, is one of nearly 1,000 students nationwide who has received a Mercedes-Benz Drive Your Future scholarship, awarded to students who are the first in their families to attend college and who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and a commitment to helping others.
Each of the college-bound graduating high school seniors will receive a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500 per year over four years). Kapellen will attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
