Applications for a $1,000 art scholarship are being accepted from 2007 Shawnee Mission West High School graduates.
Applications and portfolios are due Thursday. Applications and instructions are available online at www.smef.org . The scholarship, funded by the Dan Dakotas Art Scholarship Fund, was established to honor Dakotas, a longtime art instructor at West who retired this year.
