South High School scholarships exceed $570,000
South High School graduating seniors were presented with scholarships at the school's year-end Scholarship and Award Ceremony recently. The scholarships awarded on scholarship night totaled more than $575,530, close to $80,000 more than last year.

Many students have already received other sizeable scholarships, which are not included in this story, from community members and universities.

Pictured are students who earned a total of $3,000 or more in scholarships.

Erin Burns received $16,000 from the Minnie Riess Detling Scholarship, $8,000 from the James W. and Marjorie M. Bringe Memorial Scholarship, $2,000 from Todd A. Huibregtse Memorial Scholarship, $500 from Feats 'n Follies Scholarship, and $250 from South High Booster Club Scholarship.

Rebecca Kesting received $9,000 from State Of Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholar, $8,000 from Arno and Loretta Vogt Memorial Scholarship, $1,000 from Gene & Hanna Goldberg in Memory of Ben & Edith Goldberg, $5,000 from Herbert V. Kohler Incentive Scholarship and $1,000 from Partners of St. Nicholas Hospital Scholarship.

Margot Luedke received $9,000 from State Of Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholar, $8,000 from Arno and Loretta Vogt Memorial Scholarship, $4,000 from Denn-Kroeff Family Scholarship and $2,000 from Kohler Foundation Merit Scholarship.

Evan Miller received $5,000 from Walter and June Vollrath Scholarship, $8,000 from James W. and Marjorie M. Bringe Memorial Scholarship, $500 AP Composition Scholarship, and $1,000 from Wilbert A. Nix Scholarship.

Jamon Opgenorth received $9,000 from State Of Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholar, $8,000 from Arno and Loretta Vogt Memorial Scholarship, $1,000 from Thomas Tschanz Memorial Scholarship and $500 from Lee Thompson Memorial Scholarship.

Samuel Shircel received $8,000 from James W. and Marjorie M. Bringe Memorial Scholarship, $5,000 from Walter and June Vollrath Scholarship, $1,000 from Wilbert A. Nix Scholarship, and $150 from Longfellow School Scholarship.

Paula Zelm received $9,000 from State Of Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholar, $8,000 from James W. and Marjorie M. Bringe Memorial Scholarship, $1,000 from Partners of St. Nicholas Hospital Scholarship, $500 from Wilson Elementary School Scholarship and $500 from Lucy Dalla Valle Scholarship.

Alyssa Noltner received $2,000 from Dan and Louise Kastelic Memorial Scholarship and $7,000 from Arno and Loretta Vogt Memorial Scholarship.

Karissa Schuchardt received $7,000 from James W. and Marjorie M. Bringe Memorial Scholarship, $3,600 from Hasselhofer-Wolf Scholarship, $4,000 from Denn-Kroeff Family Scholarship, $1,000 from Partners of St. Nicholas Hospital Scholarship, $750 from Laacks Athletic Scholarship and $500 from Lucy Dalla Valle Scholarship.

Michael Reimer received $7,000 from James W. and Marjorie M. Bringe Memorial Scholarship, $1,000 from Partners of St. Nicholas Hospital Scholarship, $500 from Lake Breeze Newspaper WSHS Scholarship and $750 from Alma Filed Trust Scholarship and $500 from Community Bank and Trust Scholarship.

Stephanie Hesse received $7,000 from Arno and Loretta Vogt Memorial Scholarship and $500 from the Community Bank and Trust Scholarship.

Kayla Hildebrand received $6,000 from James W. and Marjorie M. Bringe Memorial Scholarship and $500 from Community Bank and Trust Scholarship.
